I am stealing an idea from Rebbecca and trying to take at least one picture a day for a full year. I Have now bee going strong for 8 days, and I have actually taken some decent shots. I have also taken many blurry and bad shots, but that is what this is all about. I need to get over the fear of street photography — I am much more comfortable out in the wilderness with a camera than I am on a crowded orange line car. I feel goofy stopping to take a picture of the sky or a building — I look like a tourist. But, I think that there are a lot of interesting things to see and look at as I walk around. I wonder if I will get tired of shots of the same t stop or view from work. This will be a bit of a photo journal. Where was I? What was going on in my life? Things in the past year have been in a constant state of flux, so this will be an interesting experiment. Thanks Rebbecca for posting that you were doing this!
I am going to describe it underneath each image so you can see the picture first then see what was going on.
Day 9a – 02/24/08 – Park Street – Nearing Sunset looking up Tremont St. I really liked shooting this day — I got some great pictures. Shooting at this time of day is great. The church was glowing pink and the cars were starting to have headlights on.
Day 9b – 02/24/08 – Frog Pond — I really liked this picture from Sunday as well — I had to post a couple. The sunset was gorgeous, and I really like the back lighting.
Day 9c – 02/24/08 – Frog Pond Panorama – Looking left to right going past the frog pond in a full 360 degree circle. I was surprised how well it stitched together. It is hard to see, but the same skaters appear in the rink in multiple places.
Day 8 – 02/23/08 – Poor Plants – We got more than the forecasters called for.
Day 7 – 02/22/08 – Snow day – getting home from work with 5 inches on the ground. I was having Jay, Sarah, Ricki, Fritz, Peter, and Candice over as my first dinner guests that night for Mexican night, so I wen out and shoveled one handed.
Day 6 – 02/21/08 – Sunset view from my office.
Day 5 – 02/20/08 – A dusting of snow on the back porch at sunrise.
Day 4 – 02/19/08 – Getting home while it was still light!
Day 3 – 02/18/08 – Waiting for the train on President’s Day

Day 2 – 02/17/08 – Midway Cafe – The Cranktones show (opening act: The Coachmen). I went to the show with Candice, Peter, Tiffany and Jim, ran into Jesus, Dave and a few others. Danced one song, but my shoulder (after surgery) in a sling was not conducive or comfortable to dance.
Day 1 – 2/16/08 – Me sitting on my new couch, sans my Van Dyke for the first time since just before grad school (which lasted 3 days) and before that it had been several years. The new couch is comfy, and the picture made me realize that the Chamonix picture on the wall was crooked.
So far, so good!
