Project 365?
You may notice that many of the posts here have a number next to an image. You might wonder what that means (I know I would).
Essentially, I am taking part in a grand experiment called Project 365. The challenge to me is to take at least one picture every day for a year. And post it. It doesn’t have to be beautiful, sexy, or interesting. It doesn’t have to tell a profound impact on the world. But I have to take one. Or more.
Why am I doing this? There are a myriad of reasons that I am trying to see what I can do:
- As a challenge to myself to stick with something for a full year
- To learn more about my photography
- To get better at photography
- To create a living pictographic journal that I will be able to revisit in years to come
- For Fun!
I am not doing Project 365 for any other reason than this: I like it.
It is a welcome bonus if others find this site and are able to enjoy the images as well. Hopefully a few of them will be of interest.
I have not decided what will happen at the end of a year. I hope to keep going, and with that in mind, here are a few goals for year number two:
- Miss no more than ONE day all year
- Publish a book of the first year’s worth of images
- Print, frame, and hang the first 365 images
- Continue to push my boundaries with shots outside of my comfort zone
- Upgrade to better equipment
Stick with me and see how I do!
